Minor scale, intuitive, beginners, courses. meditative playing, rhythmic patterns
D Celtic Minor (Amara), 10 notes
C# Celtic Minor, 10 notes
A2 Celtic Minor (9 notes)
Hexatonic scale without 6th. Common scale for beginners & intuitive playing. Also great to learn rhythmic patterns. You may choose to have them in D or, one semi-tone lower, in C#. Choose the D Celtic Minor if you want to play together with others, because D Minor is the most common handpan scale. You can also easily play it together with D/A Kurd handpans. Choose the C# Celtic Minor if you're planning to play for yourself mainly and if you have a preference for the sound which is slightly lower.
I also make the scale in A2. This is a very low instrument, naturally with longer sustain. It has one tone field less because of the size of the tone fields. I recommend it if you're more appealed by slow, meditative playing then by fancy rhythmic patterns.
