Top Shell: Db Lydian hexatonic (scale without 6th)

Bottom shell: Low F = 3rd to switch in Equinox / F Minor mode, Low G = 4th , Bb = missing 6th

Warm and positive scale with a calming mood, reinforcing the mind against stress or other negative thoughts. 9 note top shell designed for a specially clear sound and intuitive way of playing. 3 additional bottom notes for more diverse playing options. So it has a "beginner's mode" (just the top) and an "advanced mode" (top + bottom).

The F on the bottom creates the complementing Minor mode of the Lydian, which works especially well if the two are alternated. In addition this creates together with the top shell the Equinox scale. That is why the F has an outside facing dimple (like the Central note on the top) to enhance its bass character.

Soul Warden

Most people are not aware that, with the evolution of our society, little demons have spread over our world. Though they are invisible to most people, we all are exposed to their influence, some of us more then others, which causes stress, anger, fear or apathy in our minds.

For some reason, the demons avoid almost every handpan. They don't appreciate the instruments at all. I've seen some of them joining together, trying to put rust on the shells in the workshop. Luckily the finished instruments seem to have some force preventing the demons from touching and damaging them.

I discovered that they have a special disgust for my Lydian handpans. When they hear them it literally scares them away for hours. Probably the demons can't stand the strong positive energy of the instruments that spreads a feeling of warmth and harmony, regenerating the protection of the soul from their harmful influence.

At the beginning I found it difficult to let the instruments go, but today I know how important it is to pass them to persons resonating with their positive energy. And that I can always make a new one of this scale o keep the demons away from this place.
