The First Step (short story / audio)

Small project from the first half of 2020. It's a short story I wrote during a stay at Montpellier / southern France while recovering from my bike accident. I later felt like reading it as practice and adding some music. I unfortunately don't have any studio access here in France yet, so I recorded it reading in the park together with the crickets and city noises :) Which shall be fine for this little project.

The story is a playful excursion into social isolation and city life. Quite different from the fantasy stuff I usually write ;) It takes into question French gender roles. Written for a dear friend who is tired of gender-specific behaviour in a way-too-partiarchal society.
